A garden club member in good-standing is required to attend four meetings (parties count) and complete two hours of community service.

Propagation Basics with a Tennessee Master Gardener

Get ready to breed plants! After this introduction to plant babies, you'll never buy a houseplant again. Carol Mathews of the Tennessee Master Gardeners will teach us the art of propagation (breeding plants by cuttings) as well as which plants are easiest to grow at home. Each attendee will leave with a cutting of their own to grow and multiply!

The Dirt on Your Fave Wine

Join LGC and Matt Olson of Scenic City Wine for a session about wine production! Many home gardeners understand intuitively that certain plants thrive in particular areas and suffer in others. The French word terroir refers to the complete natural environment in which a particular plant grows, encompassing factors such as the soil type, aspect and climate. For no agricultural product is the concept of terroir more important than for wine.
